V4 ABSTRACTION 2022
V4 AbstrACTION is a series of educational & creative activities around Abstract Art in Motion addressed to children aged 5-12. The programme comprises experimental film workshops and exhibitions that explore the history of abstract art and other cultural heritage in the Viségrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), testing the boundaries between abstraction and representation.
The project seeks to foster childrens' competences to receive and produce experimental art, providing tools and contexts that invite them to express themselves through the universal language of abstraction. It was inspired by the concept of Absolute Cinema and the Punto y Raya and PyR JUNIOR Festivals, also collaborators in this endeavour.

Screenings and interactive installations
This exhibition, held February 7 - 24th 2022 at the Centrum na Przedmieściu in Wroclaw (PL), showcases the resulting films and videogames created during the V4 Abstraction 2022 educational programme, where a dozen workshops for children were held in four countries:

V4 MEMORY GAME

This Visual Memory Game brings together the work by the featured Visegrad Artists with the drawings made by the children. The rule is simple: Find the matching pair for every image!

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
